post it notes
History on the post-it note:His name was Arthur (Art) Fry. When he was an employee for a company called 3m that made plastics, laminates and glues, he came across a glue on the shelf that was made by Spencer Silver. It was previously shelved because the glue was only half-glue and of no use as a real glue. In 1977, Art was looking for a paper to paper adhesive to keep leaflets from falling out of his hymnal and this adhesive of Silvers was perfect for it. The product was launched in 1977 but due to little response from the public, the Post it note was not marketed until 1980 and in the year 2000, they celebrated their 20'th anniversary. The adhesive stuck to my hand.
Spencer Silver invented the adhesive used in Post-it notes in 1968 while working for 3M. Arthur Fry later developed the idea of using the adhesive for sticky notes in 1974, leading to the official launch of Post-it notes in 1980.
An adhesive is something that sticks.
Adhesive labels are greatly used in areas like retail for labelling stockroom shelves, etc and a lot of people can benefit and find their own uses for them.

One theory is that the adhesive on Post-it notes is designed to create a weak bond with paper, allowing for easy removal without damaging the underlying surface. Another theory suggests that the slight static charge on the adhesive helps it stick temporarily to surfaces. Overall, the unique combination of adhesive properties and materials used in Post-it notes allows them to be easily repositioned and removed.
Adhesive, Soft Paper, Color.you guys have a good answer for how post-it notes are made
One theory on how Post-it notes work is that the adhesive used on the back of the note has a low tackiness, allowing it to stick temporarily and be easily removed without leaving residue. This unique adhesive enables the note to be repositioned multiple times without losing its stickiness.
post it notes
The adhesive on a Post-it note is made of a combination of acrylic copolymers. When pressure is applied to the note, the adhesive creates a bond with the surface it is stuck to. The formulation of the glue allows it to be easily repositioned without leaving residue.
