The question assumes that chemicals ARE bad. Chemicals are neither inherently good or bad. They just exist. Your body is made up of chemicals. The air you breath is made up of chemicals. The sun is made up of chemicals. Food is made up of chemicals. Poisons are chemicals. Medicines are chemicals.... All matter is "chemicals". Because the industrial production of chemicals can be accompanied by the production of deleterious byproducts, many people associate the term "chemical" with the bad byproducts. Some products are themselves hazardous, but very useful - like gasoline for example. Companies and countries that responsibly address those risks make life better. Companies and countries that ignore the hazards of chemical manufacturing can make life much worse. It comes down to what you do with what you have.
Rubber is bad for, babies in the tub because it has chemicals that can release onto your baby and possibly be pousinous to your baby.
No - pressure treated wood contains toxic chemicals added during the preserving process. When the wood is burned the toxic chemicals are released into the surrounding air. Breathing them is really bad for you.
They use them in something that does have chemicals or has natural chemical
One of the main problems in the chemical industry is pollution. Many of the chemicals such as PCBs are very hard to eliminate from the environment for the same reasons that made them optimal for their task, including chemical and temperature stability. The best solution is not to generate hazardous chemicals in the first place, by finding better alternatives that do not have long-term waste problems. Also these chemicals should be priced based on their actual cost, including the cost of disposal of the chemicals themselves or any chemicals used in production.Another problem is lack of sufficient research to determine what the longterm affect of chemicals are on the human body. Since many of the chemicals we use are relatively new, the industry has not had a chance to evaluate the longterm affect of the chemicals use on the human body. Chemicals should be rigorously tested by regulatory entities before widespread use in the general population.
A genetic trait is passed on through the genes. Which means that disease from exposure to chemicals is not inherited.

Amphetamines are not necessarily bad, but people certainly use them improperly sometimes and that can have bad consequences. There are billions of known chemicals, some have medicinal value (chemicals we call medicines). Some chemicals have little medical value, but people like to use them, these chemicals are called drugs. Much like a hammer can be used to build a house (good), or kill someone (bad) its what a person DOES with the hammer that makes the distinction. A hammer is neither good nor bad. The same can be said of chemicals. If used properly, they can alleviate pain, cure infection, destroy a cancer, while in the wrong hands, some chemicals can cause addition, bad behaviour and even death. It depends on how it is used.
