Generally speaking, math is needed in science, engineering (not just in robotics engineering), economics, finance, accounting, medicine, and practically everyday life. The difference would be whether you want to acquire more knowledge, to have a better understanding of the subject, to have a critical thinking instead of blindly accepting what others say, to advance in career and statue, to invent/innovate, to expand your boundaries, and to apply to practical uses.
