A wrongly threaded bolt occurs when the threads on the bolt do not align properly with the corresponding nut or threaded hole. This can happen due to cross-threading, where the bolt is misaligned during insertion, leading to damaged threads. Additionally, using a bolt with the wrong thread pitch or diameter for the application can result in improper fit and function. Always ensure that the bolt and nut match in specifications to prevent threading issues.
A wax seal can break on a toilet due to several factors, including improper installation, age, or excessive movement of the toilet. If the toilet is not securely bolted to the floor, it may rock, causing the wax seal to crack. Additionally, if the seal has been exposed to moisture or is old, it can degrade and lose its effectiveness. Regular maintenance and ensuring a proper fit during installation can help prevent this issue.
