Do not worry how or what the "review" should look like, just write down the thoughts you have in regards to the literature you are reviewing. Did you like the story? Did you dis like the story? Why? Did you interpret this story to mean something other than what the plot implies? Did the story or parts of the narrative evoke thoughts or emotions in you worthy of noting? If the book you are reading is no fun to read don't use your review of how you disliked the book as an excuse not to read the book. Use the fact that you intend to give an unfavorable review as a way to make reading this stupid book you don't like more fun. Find something to pick apart and criticize gleefully on every page. If you actually like the book, I hardly have to tell what you should write, you all ready know. For further research on the actual form and structure of literary review, read the newspapers literary section. What ever you do, just make sure you read, and have fun doing it. If you have fun, you work hard at writing the best review you can muster, any mistakes you make will be pointed out by your teacher, take these corrections to heart and fix your review and hand it back your teacher. Don't worry about the grade, worry about the knowledge you've gained from experience and the skills you've developed in making an assignment fun!
