In stylistics, internal deviation means, according to my examination of a poem, is the change of the number of syllables in verse line. Example is in the first stanza the number of syllables is 8, 8, 9, 7 consecutively whereas in the second stanza is 3,3, 3,, 4 this reflects a change. This is an example from my imagination.
