Arnold's essay makes a few key assertions. One would be literature captures the ideas of its specific time in history therefore only great literature can be created when a great movement of mind time frame exists (ex given: Elizabethan era & Critical movement in Germany). Arnold continues saying reason is universal therefore prized in itself and greater than emotion/morality, which is ever changing with time. Even though Arnold states the creative facility is the highest function of man he makes it very clear that the critical facility should still be greatly valued. Arnold says real criticism obeys instinct without instruction and should remain disinterested in order to properly portray knowledge. This is just a synopsis of Arnold's essay because I'm not sure what aspect you were hoping to discuss?

What is the plural of present?

Well if your talking about a birthday present, it would be "presents". Example: "I got 2 presents on my birthday." If your talking about the "present" as a moment in time.... The present is a singular noun. There is only ever ONE present. If you were going to be with someone for any length of time, you would be giving them your "presence". Multilple present moments. So presence would be the plural form of present.

How can you make a sentence using present as noun?

The word "present" as a noun can have two different meanings: 1) a gift, and 2) the time period happening now, the existing moment. So depending on which definition of present you want to use, you could use a sentence where you would use the word 'gift' and replace gift with the word "present," or you could use a sentence where you are talking about the current time period happening now and you'd usually use it with the word "the" - "the present.""My mother gave me a nice present for my birthday.""Dinosaurs lived in the past, and humans live in the present."The word 'present' is also a verb (They will present an award...) and and adjective (At the present time...).
