Yes, they do and if you eat them, they can make you sick. I found an unopened package of hard taco shells in the back of my pantry. They had been expired for a year. I was going to throw them out but my husband, who can eat ANYTHING, said he would eat them. Well, he did and got sick in the night. He has had severe diarrhea and is sick to his stomach. So don't be tempted. Throw them out if they are expired!

We ate a from a box last night that we realised had expired 2 years ago! My husband check this morning after all 3 of us now have diarrhoea. Not severe, but not pleasant either. The shells possibly smelled a little different in the oven, but we hadn’t had tacos for so long that I thought everything was fine. Perhaps the ‘shrink wrapped’ plastic they came in could have been perforated? Seems hard to understand how they can make you unwell - but that’s why I’m online googling this question!
