Five examples of virtue:

  1. God makes many promises in The Bible and He always keeps them.

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

  1. Jeremiah experienced the joy of God's presence by rejoicing in His Word, savoring it over and over.

Jeremiah 15:16 “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of “mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.”

  1. God is merciful beyond measure to those who respect him. He does not deal with us according to our sins.

Psalms 103:10-12 “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

  1. Moses did not give in to fear and led many believers to freedom, even when being pursued by the King's Army.

Hebrews 11:27,29 “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.”

  1. The Apostle Paul labored more abundantly than those who criticized him.

I Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
