"To convey" means to move from one place to another. If you had to convey an audience, I guess a bus might be a reasonable way to do it. It really depends how big the audience is and where you are moving them to.

In the promenade style of presentation of a play, rather than changing the scenery on the stage, the audience is moved to a different place with different scenery. That is, scene one of the play is in one building, and scene two is in another building down the block. The audiences at such plays usually walk from place to place, but they could be conveyed in buses or Golf carts or something.
