Your body makes you feel pain to alert you that something is wrong by sending a message to your brain. FOR EXAMPLE: You put your hand in a fire and the cells send a message to your brain saying "Hey Stupid! Get your hand out of the fire! It'll burn you very very badly!" Your brain gets the message and then makes your hand move out of the fire and then you go run it under cold water.

NOTE: If you put ice on a burn, even for a short amount of time, you could get frostbite.

Answer:">Answer:Why do people suffer? The Bible explains:

Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that "because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all" Sometimes we suffer because we are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Galatians 6:7 says "whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap" The things that we suffer can be a direct consequence of our own actions.

People fight wars, commit crimes, pollute the environment and do several things motivated by greed rather than concern for other people or even themselves.

Ecclesiastes 8:9 says: "All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his injury."

When they do these things without regard to themselves or others, we all suffer the consequences. Ignoring the fact that there are consequences doesn't mean that we won't be affected by them. This is one of the causes of suffering.

Another reason for suffering, as the Bible explains, is what is stated at Romans 5:12. "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned-."

when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, they fell into sin. The result of their sin was death, which was passed on to all humans. Because of this both good and bad humans suffer because of the sin and imperfection that we have inherited from our disobedient parents.

1 John 5:19 Explains the primary reason that people suffer in the world today. It says: "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."

We live in a world that functions on selfish principles and that rests in the power of Satan the Devil. Therefore, it is a world full of injustices and the suffering that come along with them.

While the Bible explains several different reasons why there is suffering in the world, it also offers a comforting promise. It shows what God is going to do to bring us relief from the suffering we all experience today.

Psalm 72:12 says "For he will deliver the poor one crying for help, Also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper."

Psalm 72:14, "From oppression and from violence he will redeem their soul, And their blood will be precious in his eyes."

Daniel 2:44, "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."

Revelation 21:3-4, "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.""

While we all endure the suffering that the world offers us today, we can hold close to our hearts the Bible's promise of a time when God will remove suffering and all its causes from the face of the Earth.

Because suffering is part of life...and you cant have good times if you dont suffer...if it was good all the time then it wouldnt be good..there would be no relativity anymore. and would that be bliss or suffering then???

You never suffer. Anything bad that happens is only an opportunity to improve yourself and become a better person! :D

AnswerThe Buddha taught that the cause of our suffering is craving. This craving is rooted in an ignorance of the true nature of things.

Before we look more closely at how craving causes us to suffer we will examine the Buddha's teachings on suffering.

Suffering:

The Buddha taught that existence involves suffering. The word he used was 'dukkha'. This means: 'suffering', 'unsatisfactoriness'. He taught that nothing in this world - material (such as delicious food, music, beautiful bodies, etc.), and mental (such as emotions, feelings, etc.) - is able to fully satisfy us: non can bring us real peace. Things are unable to fully satisfy us because they are impermanent: they are constantly changing.

Anything that is constantly changing cannot be said to be able to bring lasting happiness.

The cause of suffering is craving:

But we don't suffer because things are impermanent: we suffer because we want things to be other than they are; we suffer because of our craving and desire. Think of British weather (if you know what it's like): it is always changing. When we want it to remain sunny we suffer. When we want the clouds to go we suffer. When we want it to stop raining we suffer. The reason why we suffer isn't because of the weather being so changeable; it's because of our desire for it to be other than it is.

And so it is craving that causes suffering.

Craving, by its very nature, cannot be satisfied. Think of when you have a really bad itch: you want to scratch it so you do and it feels great. Then a few minutes later it itches even more, and so you want to scratch it even more, and so you do, and it feels great. But then it itches even more than that, and so you really, really want to scratch it, and so you do, and it feels great. This process goes on and on and on: craving is never satisfied. Often we only stop scratching when we are about to start bleeding. So the Buddha taught that if we want to be truly happy then we must free our minds from craving: when we no longer crave for things we will always be happy.

Wisdom:

How do we remove craving from our minds then? By following the Noble Eightfold Path in order to develop wisdom. When we have real wisdom we see the truth of life: we see that all things of this world, physical and mental, are like British weather: impermanent, unreliable, and unable to fully satisfy us. When we deeply understand that all things are impermanent then our craving disappears, for we know that nothing is really worth wanting, for nothing can really satisfy us.

When craving goes so too does suffering and consequently we are left with complete peace and happiness.

The Book of Job answers the question Why do you suffer? in an interesting way:

God's goal with Job and his story of 42 chapters is for Job to be able to say, "With my spiritual eye, now I see!" This is the sum of the Bible: How to be Christ-like, how to be indwelt of God, how to manifest God, how to hear and obey God's rhema voice, creatively expand God's kingdom and hear "Well done thy good and faithful servant!" God wants everyone to be able to say, "With my spiritual eye, now I see!" But platitude shills say, "Now I sell!"

In the Book of Job, Elihu is a prophet God speaks through in the storm. He probably wrote the book. (In Job 33:8-11 he reads back his notes on what Job had said.) His humility in not giving himself credit as prophet has made it difficult to see his contribution. Job and his three friends each spoke at length to find confirmation in God's voice, which never came because they were stuck in righteousness, or rigid religiousness. Young Elihu came along and his soliloquy, being closer to God's holiness and truth, resulted in God's confirmation and speech happening through him.

Righteousness is good and so is holiness. But there is a big difference between the two. When we begin with God we must learn righteousness, which is learning, loving and obeying God's rules. A lot of people get stuck there in major pride-of-religion. And they really, really like it. They are the Christian Cops! They believe what they have achieved is it. Period! However, the saints break the rules of righteousness. So what gives? Well, holiness is that relaxed, close fellowship with God. It let Jesus pick corn and heal on the Sabbath. It let David eat the forbidden temple show bread. Righteous people are God's servants; holy people are His friends. Righteous people can't hear God's voice very well. Holy people hearken unto the voice of the Lord, which really upsets righteous people. Righteous people are rigid, holy people flexible. Righteous people might do a wrong thing in an emergency, holy people might do the perfect and creative thing because God might tell them and they might hear instantly. Righteous people have an extremely hard time understanding how to break the chains of rigidity and become flexible with God, who may be the most flexible entity in the universe. After all, God has to deal with six or so billion of us poor creatures, right? He is of course flexible, and our stiff-necked rigidity problem is pride. Righteously proud teachers say the book of Job says we must endure trials because we can never really know God. Holy teachers say the book of Job tells us we must endure great tribulation to get rid of our rigidity and pride-of-religion so we can hear, obey and really know God.

People can suffer many ways weather its from physical pain or mental pain, they are still suffering. Some ways to help the suffering to go away is to take medicine or go to your doctor. If you are dealing with someone that is suffering take them to a clinic and get them help, care for them, that's the best thing you can do.
