If you want to change the default interface (the User Interface) language, that would be impossible without re-installing your Windows operating system. This is because you cannot simply "change" everything to another language -- you must install the new language pack (in this case, English) from an English or International version of Windows.

The standard text of the Old Testament is the text in which ever language it is written in. The standard text for an English translation may be written in what is called New Roman text (English). You can select text; somewhere on the bottom of the screen (the status bar) you will find an option that shows the language. There you can change the selected language to English in this case; this will change the use of proofreading tools (i.e., spelling and grammar checker) to the selected language. Actually, while you write Word will detect the language automatically, but sometimes this will fail, especially for short sentences. If the English spell checker is not installed, this will simply be ignored. To change the complete language interface (language for the menus, etc.), I believe you have to install another version of Word.
