The word is spelled maintenance. It is important to remember and prounounce the 'ten' part of the word.
Name pronunciation is up to the individual with that name. There is no "right" or "wrong" way with this name, and those of us who grow up as Kirstens take real offense to being told that we pronounce our own name wrong! What you grow up with is the way you recognize the name to be. "Curse tin" may be fine for one individual if that is the way your family pronounced it as you grew up to recognize your name, "Keer stin" is suitable for others. Just ask, if you aren't sure. And, here's a tip... once they tell you which it is, create a rhyme in your mind so you remember the pronunciation. It's annoying and awkward to correct people over and over again. Also my name is Kirsten so I prounounce it Keer stin but many people call it curs tin or curis ten. I always have to tell them its Keer stin even when I sign my name Kirsten they still spell it Kristen or Kursten and it just annoys me really bad but I have to deal with it and some of you with your name Kirsten you do too. ;) :)
