I believe the (slang) word you might want is "psycho." Previously, "psycho-" was only used as a prefix to create words such as psychology (psycho+logy), psychosomatic (psycho+somatic), psychopath (psycho+path), etc. Slowly, laypersons focused only on the prefix and began using the prefix "psycho" as a slang word. presumably, this occurred because many people could not pronounce or they did not understand the longer psychiatric words.

As slang, "psycho" has a derogatory meaning and is quite offensive. As well, as a slang word, it is intended to call someone the same thing as "crazy", and anyone who acts differently is a target in name-calling or bullying. But because laypersons are not physicians (psychologists or psychiatrists), the label is quite certainly wrong for the majority of people who are called this name.

"Psycho" has also been used to describe the behavior of an angry person or someone who sometimes acts out of control. Again, the slang word is completely misapplied; just because a person loses his or her temper or sometimes acts angry, it does not mean their behaviors qualify for any psychiatric condition. In fact, psychiatrists are very careful in labeling the behaviors of teenagers because teens can act more impulsively and are more volatile than other age groups, but these teens may not qualify for any psychiatric diagnosis.
