Write a hook, (optional, but it is a good thing to have because it draws the reader into your paper. It also gives a sense of what your writing about, in other words a road map.) Then introduce the writer and title of whatever you are writing about. You can do this but some teachers hate this, you could do a 1 sentence max summery of the plot. And then of course, a thesis ( the point, argument, statement, opinion you are giving) basically what you are going to write about. I hope this helped :) good luck

It depends on the essay. If it is a 20 minutes 3 paragraph time right I would go for 1-2 sentences quick summary and introduction. If in a real 5 paragraph essay 3-4 sentences max. When you outline you are able to list the main ideas and the details. If you think of each part of the outline as a paragraph, then, all you have to do is put it together. You have the main idea of the paragraph and each detail goes into that paragraph. Before you know it you have your essay.
its always good to restate the question in the first paragraph to answer it, it adds length and personally i think it looks smart. When I right an essay I like to do this as the first sentence. Say the essay question was your question. I would use "Some good words to use for the introduction sentence for an essay are restating the question as an answer." Also, you should state the points you're trying to (dis)prove in your essay. Summerize the purpose of the essay. When i write essays, I like to do the intro/conclusions after I write the body of the essay, because then I know exactly what I'm going to say at that point. Don't forget to restate your intro or if you have one a thesis statement in your conclusion. Good luck!!
first an intro paragraph inclusing a thesis, then the three body paragraphs, then finally the conclusion paragraph.
