How does English communication helps interior designing?

Our first assumption is that you are living in the U.S.A., and the second assumption is that you will continue to be living in the U.S.A. English is the primary language spoken in the U.S.A., and every citizen and permanent resident should learn to speak our national language fluently. That said, you will very probably be designing an interior of a building for an English-speaking person, since Americans all speak English. You cannot learn what that person wants done to his/her building if he/she is speaking English and you are babbling some foreign language at them. The probability that your potential interior design customer speaks the language of your ancestors overseas is slim in the extreme. Count on having to speak English to your customers. If you are trying to communicate with a person about colors, styles, forms, etc., in order to design a lovely interior for a customer, you should be fluent in the language the customer speaks. I can tell you from first-hand experience that when you are trying to make your wants and needs known to a person who speaks only a halting form of English, you may as well throw in the towel and go to another interior designer! They can barely understand what you are telling them about the location of the building! Why would you expect them to be able to understand you when you try to tell them the decorating scheme you have in mind? A thing like that takes full comprehension of the language. And when a person is trying to make his/her vague idea of a room's ambience, shading, and colors for an imagined business or personal use known, do you really believe he/she can accomplish a meeting of the minds for a casino designed to resemble the interior of the Taj Mahal? I don't. This question really hit a sore spot with me. I get extremely annoyed with businesses that hire recent immigrants from foreign countries, who cannot speak our language, to answer their busy telephone calls. One day I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with such a person, trying to make my needs known concerning a credit card charge to my account for a movie I did not want. I ended up firing off a letter to that business with steam shooting from my ears! The problem was finally resolved, but should never have escalated to such a big deal to begin with! If a person wants to immigrate to America for a better life, that life must of necessity include speaking the language of Americans. If learning to speak the language of this country is such an objectionable problem, stay in your native country and speak your native language.
