improve
I don't understand the first answer as written above. Maybe it's me or perhaps I should say that you simply do it by the context in the sentence many times. For instance, "I walk around the block" as a verb. Or, "I will take a walk around the block" as a noun. Another thing would be to take the verb and it can sometimes be changed to a noun by adding "ment" or "er" as a suffix. For instance, "I improve daily" as a verb. "He made an improvement" changes it to a noun. Again, "I will drink my rum" as a verb for drink. Then "I am a drinker" for a noun. That's all, please excuse me as I need a drink. What was that? "Drink" as a noun too.
