I highly recommend it. Its an amazing series with an amazing story line. Just the right bit of magic, ghosts, witchs, necromancers, werewolves and boys added to the mix.
Whether or not something is good depends on who is reading it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Best thing would be to read it yourself and develop your own, individual opinion.
I read the series twice and would recommend it to anyone who believes in the extraordinary and thinks that everything is not as it seems. The Darkest Powers series is ultimately the second best series I have ever read (number one being the House of Night series by P.c. and Kristen Cast, I highly recommend) and will stay like that for most definetly the rest of my life. I was hooked from the first sentence and love the unique theme of the series. I've never read anything else like it! Altogether an amazing, astounding, crazy awesome, unique, extraordinary series that I really think you should check out. Kelley Armstrong has a lot going for her.
