Though not exactly like Thirukkural, there are works containing ethical maxims organized under various themes like the Kural in other languages. In Sanskrit, we have Niti, Vairagya and Sringara Satakams of Bartrihari (~ 100 verses each), thematically roughly equivalent to the Muppaal (Trivarga) in Kural. There is also a work in Prakrit called Vajjalaggam (authored by Jayavallaba) which is also on Trivarga. All the Niti sastras in Sanskrit (Nitisara, Nitisastra, Sukraniti etc.) are roughly equivalent to the Porutpaal (Wealth) division of Tirukkural, so also the Dhammapada roughly equivalent to Arattuppaal (Virtue/Dharma) division of Tirukkural. The Proverbs in the Hebrew Bible has lot of similarities to the Kural, so also Gulistan in Persian. Maxims of Publilius Syrus in Latin show considerable resemblance to the Kural. But all these latter works do not have Love poems (Kamattuppaal) in them.
