Some people just raise tomatoes to sell, while I just read an article in Hobby Farms magazine about a family who had a hydroponic farm doing lettuce. Those are probably the two biggest that small specialized farms do. I know that most of my local famer market stands will have tomatoes. I do see some selling just peaches or cantalopes, but those are very seasonal. Lettuce and tomatoes can be grown throughout the year in greenhouses and bring the best profit that way.
