Tamil Thai Vaazhthu (Invocation to Mother Tamil) is the State song of Tamilnadu . The song was written by Manonmanian Sundaram Pillai and its music was composed by MSV . Official functions of the Government of Tamil Nadu start with this song . The song is sung daily in schools all over Tamil Nadu during the assembly .
