For all intents and purposes, I will say that the personality is how one acts. How one acts, talks, thinks, what they believe, what they consider most important in their lives, is all a part of one's personality.

A sick personality is one in which there is a breakdown in the personality, which results in poor personal and social adjustments. Just as in physical illness, the person does not behave as he normally does. As a result, there is an impairment in the way he adjusts to every day of life situations. The scientist regards such a person as ' disturbed' 'disordered and in more cases as ' neurotic', severe cases as ' psychotic'.

The laymen say that he is peculiar 'nutty' 'off his rocker' 'crazy', or whatever word is currently popular for describing those whose behavior deviates from the expected norm. Deviant behavior stemming from personality sickness is labeled as 'problem behavior' by the scientists, because it leas to problem of adjustment for the individual as well as for others whom he comes in contact.

They both mean the kind of person a person is. Everyone approaches life's situations with a predisposition to react in a certain way. That predisposition is the person's character or personality.
