I believe this is similar in meaning to something Ive once heard about Truth.
No matter what is said by someone, how ideas are twisted, misconstrued or misunderstood, the truth will never change. For example if someone was to say the earth is flat. No matter how many times he or others said it, no matter how many people believed it to be true, the truth would always be that the earth is round. It is immutable. The truth is there whether anyone sees it or believes it.
The same could be said about reasoning.
The verb of reason means:Think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic.
I understand this to be a very similar way of saying, Using thought based processes to find the truth.
If the truth, or reason, never changes then it may be said it is immortal.

Below zero such as in temperature and a funny thing is that SubZero is a character from the Mortal Kombat series.
It means nothing else is working.
No. "Mort" means death, so anything with "mort" in the name is bad news. (for example, VoldeMORT) " mor, mort mortal, death mortal, immortal, mortality, mortician, mortuary " (I copied that from a page) Anything that is MORTal can die. I'm mortal, you're mortal, my cat is mortal, the bird cawing outside is mortal. If something is IMmortal, it can't die, because im-, il-, ir-, and in- mean the opposite of or "not". and IMMORTal is not mortal, so it can't die. There's pretty much always a counteractive way, though. Just do the opposite of what made them immortal.
Goddesses don't die. They're immortal, thus the reason why they're called 'goddesses.' However, if you mean a mortal woman who died on her wedding day, that would be Eurydice.
An 'immortal' or someone that was 'immortal' meant that they could not die.
john was only a human, so he could only bless you with mortal things. but Jesus, however, can bless you with immortal things.
Immortal means can't die
