What does Temashita mean?

I believe the confusion for this word てました (temashita) is it is made up of the particle て (te) used at the end of sentences along with something indicating continuing action or state for the verb it is adding to (ました , een/ing) in this case, also I believe it is polite form.

so someone asks あなたのしゅみはなんですか？(What's your hobby?)

you answer(a): メイド喫茶・読モしてました。 (incomplete sentence, usually because most people write answers how they would speak them)

you answer(b): 私の趣味ですメイド喫茶・読モしてました。 (polite full sentence)

私の趣味です(my hobbies are)

メイド喫茶 maid Cafes

・読モし (read mode) + てました (ing)

so:

My hobbies are Maid Cafes and reading Mode.

(could just as easilly say dokusho for reading, but read-mode is something different to those with 眼鏡フェチです (*´ω`*)！！

But it has been a while since I've done anything in Japanese so I could be wrong.
