With coalation politics, you can have a system where even those that do not normally get attention from the media get elected, allowing a wider range of people to be able to run. They can also organize propaganda and events to effectivly propagate a way of thinking. Unfortunatly, this always leads to politics divided by partisan lines, and can reduce the effectivness of the government because of infighting. Coalation politics is going to stay in India just because of it's effectiveness in propagating and organizing to elect it's officials.
