This is what is known as the phonetic alphabet, where letters are spoken as words. It's often used in scenarios such as police chases and in the military where it may be hard to understand or hear what is being said. There is a much better chance of decoding what is being said by the radio operators because of this. In this case, Delta Bravo Victor Hotel means DBVH.
'Bravo' (Spanish) = brave, manly, savage, wild 'Bravo!' (the exclamation) means the same in English and Spanish
It means a change in. For example if you had Delta(y) that would mean a change in Y values in respect to another variable
Japan Victor Company
Tivoli might mean hotel or Fancy
I think what you mean is the NATO Phonetic Alphabet which replaces letters with words used in certain radio and telephony transmissions to avoid misheard letters/words (a=alpha b=bravo c=charlie d=delta etc, etc.) More information about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_phonetic_alphabet Hope I helped, Joric.
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta are the letters of the police alphabet. e.g. Alpha=A Bravo=B
Oscar is simply "O" but expressed as part of the phonetic alphabet. For example, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, etc.
If you mean what word represents the letter H in the NATO phonetic alphabet then the answer is Hotel. The letter A is represented by alpha, B by bravo and so on.
difference
'Bravo' (Spanish) = brave, manly, savage, wild 'Bravo!' (the exclamation) means the same in English and Spanish
DElta means "Change" delta can be represented by a triangle
I think bravo is an international word. If you mean saying bravo when you applause is the same thing: Браво - Bravo. In Russian sometimes we say: Браво Бис - Bravo, Beas! where Bravo means that you liked the scene and Beas is that you would like to hear it again.
Charlie was the communits forces called the Viet cong. The military shortened it to an acronym,,,which it does to many things, to VC. In the phonetic alphabet the spelling is "Victor Charlie" , i.e, VC. It was shortened even farther to just charlie, and was a common way for soldiers in Vietnam to refer to them as such
it means bravo
The word delta means triangle, but it can also refer to the Greek letter Delta.
Victor means the winner in a battle.
Military language for the alphabet: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, etc. "Charlie" meant the letter "C", could mean anything over the radio...Cong, Communist, etc.
