As someone with serious ADHD I can say from personal experience what inattentively means.

The word is an adverb; formed from the adjective inattentive and adding the suffix "ly" denoting a manner or degree. (happily)

Inattentive means lacking concentration, focus; given to daydreaming, and easily subject to being led astray by slight distractions.

Therefore inattentively is used as an adverb to indicate the degree of lacking focus the action (verb) is performed in a manner of.

Example:
I spent an hour inattentively searching for my keys and wallet.

Oh, it would take forever to leave because I'd forget I was trying to find my keys whenever I ran across something interesting and would pick it up and forget about leaving. As a result I was constantly late if I showed up at all....
