"You messed with the wrong guy" is an English idiom that basically means that you've managed to annoy someone who has both the desire and the capacity to retaliate... possibly physically, though it could be in some other way... maybe he owns the bank that holds your mortgage, or he could be a petty bureaucrat who has the ability to make sure some important paperwork that you need gets delayed/misfiled/lost.

It's a metaphor for seeing reality. Most prisons are self-imposed, for example via conformity and religion. People know they are trapped by a system, but they choose to stay in it for whatever reason, the fear of familiarity, the warmth of comfort, etc. Just like mental or physical abuse can seem like affections, prison can feel like home. As soon as you see how wrong this is, and how lost you are for believing it, your salvation will become clear. Your door will open and you will be free to step out. But, if you think you are fine, that that this is 'the way it is', then you will be trapped by your wrong beliefs. Therefore, this realisation will shake you to your core - upset you even, your parents lied to you - but it will shake the chains free too. Good luck, get shaking. www.theotherjamiedobson.com

I sometimes feel that too. It is actually what I think it is, so it may be wrong. The reason is you feel something is lost. Maybe your parents is not with you, so you feel like you are not at home, but you will feel that because you lost something. You may be able to find your own reason one day if what you think is different from me :)
