Well it depends which nafl you're talking about. There's nafl as in the optional salat Muslims pray and there is one NAFL as in northern American football league.

During the night prayer, it is recommended to perform an odd number of rakat nafl, with 2 rakat being the minimum and 8 rakat being the maximum.
It is very similar to the way their Sunni brothers pray. One distinguishing factor is that they keep their hands by their sides while praying. Most of the other utterances are the same except for some differences here and there.
Awabin Namaaz is a nafl prayer that is read after Maghrib Namaaz.
Question is not clear. Please explain clearly so that we can try to answer.
Nafl (voluntary) prayers are commendable and can earn a person extra rewards, but they do not equate to the obligation of performing Farz (mandatory) prayers. Farz prayers are essential and required for a Muslim's faith and practice, while Nafl prayers are supplementary. Neglecting Farz prayers while focusing solely on Nafl is not acceptable in Islam, as fulfilling obligatory acts takes precedence over voluntary ones.
Nafl namaaz, or voluntary prayers in Islam, developed from the practices of the Prophet Muhammad, who encouraged his followers to perform additional prayers beyond the obligatory ones. These prayers serve as a means of seeking closeness to Allah, expressing gratitude, and seeking forgiveness. The flexibility in their timing and number allows Muslims to enhance their spiritual connection. Over time, various scholars and traditions have elaborated on the significance and types of nafl prayers within Islamic practice.
From my knowledge, the correct way to show tauba is performing Salat al Tauba, which is a 2 rakat prayer. It is performed just like any other nafl prayer but has a different niyat: "Nawayatu Aan Ussalia Lillaahi Ta'ala Rakatai Salateet Tauba'aee Sunnatu Rasullahi Taala Mutaoouazihan Ila Zihatil Ka'batish Sahraifati, Allahu Akbar" As for the Magrib nafl prayers, I've been taught that these are prayed after the maghrib sunnah prayers and that they're called Salat al Awabeen, and the rakats are 6 minimum. Hope that I helped :)
make intention for reading two rakats nafl salatul hajat, then after namaz make dua.
Taraweeh prayer is considered a Sunnah, which means it is a recommended practice in Islam but not obligatory.
Performing the Taraweeh Sunnah or Nafl prayers during Ramadan can bring spiritual benefits such as increased closeness to Allah, forgiveness of sins, and the opportunity to earn extra rewards. It also helps in developing discipline, focus, and a stronger connection to the Quran.
