An optimistic tone is hopeful, cheerful.

For example a person who always looks for the best in things is an optimist.

An example of an optimistic tone could be found on page 149 in Stephen King's book On Writing. "We were also hopeful, as any parent would be, that our kid would turn out to be talented, perhaps even some sort of prodigy. We got Owen a Tenor Saxophone for Christmas and lessons with Gordon Bowie, one of the local music men. Then crossed our fingers and hoped for the best." The words 'hopeful' and 'crossed our fingers and hoped for the best' create the optimistic tone here.

optimistic is when you see the bright side if things. pesimistic is the opposite(i.e. "i see the glass as half full" while the pesimist sees it as "half empty")

I'm pretty sure it means you can't spell very well. having what you think the definition is would be helpful for a more meaningful answer.

Otherwise... lookup "Optimistic" on Google.
