A Hollywood allegory based on The Bible quote in the eighth chapter of the gospel of John , where Jesus is quoted as saying, "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will always walk in the light, and with that person will be the light of life."

"go toward the light" has been associated loosely to mean die by some and or go to Heaven by those of certain faiths. The phrase has now been widely accepted as a good thing. Not so good for moths and flying insects flying near a highway on a warm summers night.
