If you're looking for a list of replacements for linking verbs then you've come to the right place! Linking verbs can get in the way of good writing, and I know exactly how you feel. Last year, I took a literature class, and my teacher's number one rule for our essays was that they were to contain absolutely no linking verbs at all.
