What is descriptive discourse?

Since "descripted" is a traditional term for "described" (used in legal circles for legally-binding documents and instruments), it seems logical to me that "descripted discourse" is probably communication or linguistics that have been described and annotated, according to certain parameters for the purpose of "discourse analysis." (See Wikipedia definition and branches of the science of discourse analysis.) It stands to reason that before an analyst can study communication and linguistic patterns, those patterns and methods of discourse must be described. Of course, no scientist worth her/his salt would merely say their experiment described the conversation between two people in order to study the patterns -- the term would be scientifically descripted discourse. Just a guess, but it sounds good, doesn't it?

What is the description of Samson Raphael Hirsch College in The Chosen?

Hirsch College is described as a six story whitestone building located on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. It is said to occupy "half a block of a busy store-filled street" so you can hear the noise from the street inside the building. The college is located in front of a brownstone armory and across the street from a Catholic church. Inside the building there are administrative offices, a synagogue, a library, an auditorium, classrooms, and a psychology laboratory. There are also dorms for students who live out of town. Study is split between Talmud and normal college study; students must choose a regular major in addition to their religious study. The school is also described as being Orthodox, with prayers three times a day.
