∙ 13y agoA run on sentence is a sentence that is seemingly long and has too many points in it that makes it hard for one to understand its full meaning. It also has the tendency to continue on when it should come to a stop and start a new sentence.
For example,
A cat was strolling down the park, but suddenly came to a stop when it saw that it could not go any further because it saw its owner, who was coming back from the grocery store because he needed to buy some eggs, so they joined each other and went home side by side, but when they reached their house, they realized that they didn't have the key, so they called the maintenance man, who opened it for them and gave them a duplicate key.
