Introduction to the subject
Independent.
It means to express in one's own words.
The words "in your own words" means the teacher wants YOU to describe it, not some anonymous person on the internet. Read your textbook so you know what the linear model is, then just say it the way you would tell a friend about it.
It means how you say (tone) words and what you say (choice of words) can have an affect on people. For example: "Stay away from the traffic." If you say this in a loud (tone) voice, it will make more of an impact. Another example: if you say that is not a good idea (choice of words) rather than don't do that, you will seem indecisive.
If something is unnecessary, it is unneeded. Another way to say that would be redundant, which means that there is already something else doing what is needed. You could say that expendable or dispensable. You might even say it is beside the point or uncalled-for. Another way of saying this would be to say unwanted.
Verbose is another way to say big words.
It does say it provides for the common good. A preamble doesn't get into specific details.
Paraphrasing is taking a quote and cutting the fat. Kind of like putting someone else's words into your own words but still saying the same thing.Paraphrasing-Repeating what another has said, but in your own words.
