When you put your bag on the chair next to you not because you're saving it for someone, but because you don't want anyone to sit next to you, and when someone comes along and says "are you saving that seat for someone?", you say "No, I'm saving it for something: my sanity." And they get offended and you say "No, no, it's nothing personal. I just have an aversion to people."
