What is codemixing and codeswitching?

Those are when people who are entirely bilingual mix the two languages they know. For example, I had a roommate who grew up speaking Hindi and English, and while talking with similarly bilingual people he would switch languages anytime, even in the middle of a sentence. If there's a distinction between code switching and code mixing I don't know what it is.
