Rakáh is a single complete part of the prayers that Muslims pray 5 times a day, for example, the morning prayer is 2 reka'ahs, you start standing, you bow then you kneel, and after you come up that's a rekaáh.

What is Salat ul Khasoof?

Salat ul Kusoof (Pray of Eclipse)Eclipses are signs from Allaah by means of which Allaah makes His slaves afraid. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And We sent not the signs except to warn, and to make them afraid (of destruction)" [al-Israa' 17:39]During the Jaahiliyyah, people used to believe that eclipses happened to mark the birth or death of a great person, but the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) declared this belief to be false and explained the divine wisdom behind the occurrence of eclipses:Imaam al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated that Ibn Mas'ood al-Ansaari said: "the sun was eclipsed the day Ibraaheem the son of the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died, and the people said, 'The sun is eclipsed because of the death of Ibraaheem.' The Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'The sun and the moon are two signs from Allaah, and they do not become eclipsed for the death or the birth of anyone. If you see that, hasten to remember Allaah and to pray.'"The time for Salaat al-Kusoof lasts from the beginning of the eclipse until it is over, because the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When you see that, then pray." (Agreed upon). According to another hadeeth, "If you see anything of that, then pray until it is over." (Reported by Muslim). How is Salatul Khusuf performed1. Recites the Surat-ul-Fatihah and then a Surah.6. He then performs a Rokou.7. He rises from the Rokou and again recites a portion of the Holy Qur'an.8. This is followed by the second Rokou.9. After rising from the second Rokou, he performs two Sajdahs.10. He then performs the second Rakah with two Rokous as done before.11. He them sits for the Tashahhud and ends the Salah with the Taslim.Salaat al-Kusoof should not be done once the eclipse is over, because the time has gone. If an eclipse ends before one knows about it, one does not have to pray, because the reason for this prayer is no longer there.

Why being a good khalifah is important to Muslims?

Caliph by default is good because it is selected by God. unless he be a fake Caliph. do you believe prophet talked about every detail part of life and did not said abything about political leader of Islam Ummah and left it for people to themselves select any one they like by voting or any other way they wish? Caliph literally means deputy. and is representative of God in earth for political leadership of Islamic government. Quran 6:57 says: إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ "The command rests with none but Allah:" (the word حکم in this verse (command) has same root and meaning of word حکومت meaning government) so if prophet is really messenger of God so according to above verse did appoint the Caliph or not? or left it for people select it? Quran 2:30 says: "I am appointing Caliph on earth" إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً this verse uses exactly the Arabic word for Caliph. if God appoints Caliph did God appoint the Caliph after prophet? or left it for people select it by voting or shura or etc. anyway voting shura,.. are not appointing by God and are appointing by people. also this verse: يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ ﴿ص: ٢٦﴾ [We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth [Caliph], so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account. [38:26] uses exactly the Arabic word for Caliph. and God says: WE made you Caliph. so did God do the same for Caliph after prophet? or this time God chaged his mind and left it people make Caliph by voting or shura or etc? if Imams could not be political Caliph it was for Umayyids and Abbasids did not let them and kept them in home arrest or killed them and warned them to not have any political activity. what you think? Imam Husain (sa) go to Yazid and say: please give me the politial power. and Yazid say OK come sit here in my chair and I go home good bye?!! you are so simple thinking. who Killed Imams of Shia? they all were killed because they wanted to be political leaders. shura is for when God did no specify some thing or any part of religion? for example can some Muslims make shura and change Zuhr Salat to 2 rakah? or remove fasting from Islam by shura?

Caliph is a term that is used for the Muslim ruler of a Caliphate. The Caliph (khalīfah ) is the head of state in a Caliphate, and the title for the ruler of the Islamic Ummah, an Islamic community ruled by the Shari'ah(Islamic Law). It is a transcribed version of the Arabic word Khalīfah which means "successor" or "representative"AnswerCaliph means representative of God on earthdo you believe prophet talked about every detail part of life and did not said abything about political leader of Islam Ummah and left it for people to themselves select any one they like by voting or any other way they wish?Caliph literally means deputy. and is representative of God in earth for political leadership of Islamic government.Quran 6:57 says:إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ"The command rests with none but Allah:"(the word حکم in this verse (command) has same root and meaning of word حکومت meaning government)so if prophet is really messenger of God so according to above verse did appoint the Caliph or not?or left it for people select it?Quran 2:30 says:"I am appointing Caliph on earth"إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةًthis verse uses exactly the Arabic word for Caliph.if God appoints Caliph did God appoint the Caliph after prophet? or left it for people select it by voting or shura or etc. anyway voting shura,.. are not appointing by God and are appointing by people.also this verse:يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ ﴿ص: ٢٦﴾[We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth [Caliph], so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." What is the sanad of salat-tut-tasbih?

Source: Fiqh-us-Sunnah, vol 2, # 33'Ikrimah reports from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said to 'Abbas ibn 'Abdal-Mutalib: "O 'Abbas, O Uncle, shall I not give you, shall I not present to you, shall I not donate to you, shall I not tell you ten things which, if you do, Allah will forgive your first and last sins, past and present sins, intentional and unintentional sins, private and public sins? The ten actions are: pray four rak'at, reciting in every rak'ah al-Fatihah and a surah. And when you finish the Qur'anic recitation of the first rak'ah, say, while standing, 'Subhanallah, al-hamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wa Allahu Akbar' ['Glory be to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no God except Allah. Allah is the greatest.'] fifteen times. Then make ruku', and while you are in ruku', say the same ten times; then stand, and say the same ten times. Then go down and make sajdah, and while you're in sajdah, say the same ten times. Then sit after the sajdah, and say the same ten times. Then make sajdah, and say the same ten times. Then sit after the second sajdah, and say the same another ten times. That is seventy-five [repetitions of the phrases] in each rak'ah. Do that in each of the four rak'at. If you can pray it once a day, do so. If you cannot, then once every Friday. If you cannot do that, then once a year. And if you cannot do that then once in your life." This hadith is related by Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Ibn Khuzaimah in his sahih, and at-Tabarani. About this hadith al-Mundhiri says: "This hadith has been related through many chains and from a number of companions. The best of them is this one from 'Ikrimah. A group of scholars have graded it to be sahih, including al-Hafez Abu Bakr al-'Ajari, (al-Mundhiri's teachers), Abu Muhammad 'Abdurrahim al-Misri, and Abu al-Hassan al-Maqdisi." Ibn alMubarak says: "The tasbih prayer is a greatly desired act and it is desirable that one should punctually observe it and never neglect it. Shk. Nasruddin Alabani graded this salaat and related hadith as Sahi in his book on Propht's Prayer. Suggestions: 1. You can pray it any part of the day and night except of course during the forbidden times for performing Salat. It is encouraged during the potential nights of Laila-tul-Qadr because of the amazing blessings during that blessed night as stated in the Qur'an itself (Surah Qadr, Chapter 97). 2. Your aim is to recite the above Tasbih 300 times in Four Rakah as stated in the hadith narrated above, however, please do not count loudly or fingers or by holding beads in your hand. 3) You may count by pressing the fingers as a reminder. For example if you are in Ruku. You may press the first finger of your right hand first for the first count, then the finger next to it for second count, then the middle finger for third count, following this method until you reach the little finger of your left hand, and that will give you a count of ten. Use the same method during the whole salat.

Why do Shia Muslims celebrate more than 2 Eid holidays?

Shia believe in Imamat. Quran says: "Today I made your religion compete." In this verse today is day of Ghadir and what made religion was Imamat and first Imam and real Caliph of God on earth after prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was Ali (sa). Do you believe the prophet talked about every detail part of life and did not say anything about political leader of Islam Ummah and left it for people to themselves select any one they like by voting or any other way they wish? Caliph literally means deputy and is representative of God on Earth for political leadership of Islamic government. Quran 6:57 says: إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ "The command rests with none but Allah:" (The word حکم in this verse (command) has same root and meaning of word حکومت meaning government.) So if prophet is really messenger of God so according to above verse did he appoint the Caliph or not? Or did he leave it for the people to select it? Quran 2:30 says: "I am appointing Caliph on earth" إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً This verse uses exactly the Arabic word for Caliph. If God appoints Caliph did God appoint the Caliph after prophet or did He leave it for the people to select it by voting or shura or etc. Anyway, voting, shura, etc., are not appointing by God and are appointing by people. [38:26] It uses exactly the Arabic word for Caliph, and God says: "WE made you Caliph." So did God do the same for Caliph after prophet? Or this time God changed his mind and left it people make Caliph by voting or shura or etc? If Imams could not be political Caliph it was for Umayyids and Abbasids did not let them and kept them in home arrest or killed them and warned them to not have any political activity. What you think? Imam Husain (sa) go to Yazid and say: please give me the politial power, and Yazid say, "OK come sit here in my chair and I go home good bye?!!" Who Killed Imams of Shia? They all were killed because they wanted to be political leaders. Shura is for when God did no specify some thing or any part of religion? for example can some Muslims make shura and change Zuhr Salat to 2 rakah? or remove fasting from Islam by shura? Imamat is in Quran. in more than 100 verse, but it is not clear. The reason of unclear is that Caliph has high power and income and many wish to get this power. God made it unclear to be protected from edit and deviation. like Church deviated Bible of prophet Jesus (PBUH). There is no need to be close friend of God. It only needs some investigation. near 300 verse are about Imamat. For example: 5:67 > what prophet announces for this verse was Imamat. in 5:67 what God order to prophet to announce is Imamat. and prophet announced it in front of 120,000 Muslims in his last sermon after his last Hajj. 5:3 > what made religion complete TODAY was Imamat. 4:59 > ulelamr=Imams, they never say I do not know. does God refer to who do not know and always ask from Imam Ali (sa)? in this verse God commands obey UlelAmr. who are them. in other verses says do not obey (لا تطع) ... combining them we will find who are UlelAmr. 5:55 > who paid charity while in bow was Ali (sa). this is clear and famous in history and Umar said I wish I paid all I have and this verse was about me. The prophet said the name and exact signs and shape of them one by one and exact. Also, Caliph according to Quran has some signs that no one else has those signs. For example one sign is according to this verse: فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ [٢١:٧] [en.sahih] ... so ask the people of the message if you do not know. ‌[21:7] Also according to Hadithes, one sign of them is: They never say I do not know. You know Abubakr and Umar and Uthman always asked their questions from Ali (sa) This is a simple way to know them and Shia always asked them questions to test them. For example as Shia asked how much money is now in my pocket and Imam exactly replied. Who are "ahl zekr"? They can easily do any miracle also, and other signs. Also many more verses. It's long to write. If you are a serious seeker you should read some books listed in the related links below. Without spending time and investigation you will not reach truth. Truth is not in TV or laziness. But it needs knowing history. You should know at when this verses revealed and what said prophet that time. Here is huge number of references from Sunni books about verse of Ghadir 5:76 , 5:3 and what said prophet when they revealed at end of life of prophet.
