What is self-deprecating?

"Self-deprecating" means to belittle oneself, eg. self-deprecating humour is a joke that makes the teller appear to be foolish.
That you're putting yourself down. A self-deprecating comment could be "I'm really not very good-looking" or anything along those lines.
