They resolve the conflict by a joust. Tarquine didn't realize at first Lancelot was Lancelot so he offers to let each go their separate ways. When he found out he was though, Tarquine said they'd have to fight to their death. After much combat, Lancelot defeats Tarquine and kills him. Lancelot's a pretty cool guy. ;))
