"First person narrative" is the one of the (three) "narrative modes" that uses the point of view of the narrator during communication (speech or writing). This means that only the personal pronouns "I" and "we" can be used.

In contrast, "second person narrative" uses the point of view of the audience/listener, and only the personal pronouns "you" and "you all" can be used. "Third person narrative" uses the point of view of an unspecified entity and only the personal pronouns "he", "she", "it", and "they" can be used.
