A specific movement is practiced repeatedly, often referred to as a drill. This type of practice is ideal for skills that are always performed in the same way. Closed, interactive and coactive skills tend to require fixed practice to allow the motor sequence to be perfected

A fixed practice unlike the others is something that is seen as more of a drill, when being performed the movement pattern is repeated in exactly the same way every time over and over and over again. By repeating this it means that the skill becomes ingrained and perfect and is almost a natural habit for the player to do, this skill is practiced in a constant environment which does not change meaning it would be more of a simple skill. An advantage of this is that the practice can be made to replicate the competition situation quite closely, but the disadvantages for this are that it can become boring and repetitive for the performer and they can lose concentration. Again like all the others the performer may become fatigued leading to a loss of skill level. These are good for closed skills, and self paced skills, as the environment has no impact and the performer can choose when they want to perform the skill

What is the definition of a Fixed Base?

Well, the term is used in a lot of industries, so there is going to be a difference depending on whether you are looking for a fixed-base operator, a fixed-base method, a fixed-base index, or a fixed-base router. However, without using fixed base an an adjective, the definition in general could be "a foundation that does not move." Of course a base can be a place or platform (as well as other definitions) and fixed can mean more than staying in one place... like repaired. So, it depends on the context, but that is the best generic definition you can do with only that context.
