The word that comes to mind is "scapegoat." An abuser will unjustly blame the victim (aka scapegoat)for anything. The victim will in turn try to placate the abuser, trying to smoothe things over. Since all this happens in isolation from other people, the scapegoat starts feeling separate from those around him/her.
