A differentiation document, or "diff-doc," is a powerful tool that assigns responsibility for accomplishing each task and sub-task in a project to a specific entity. It delineates who's supposed to program, budget, manage, design, specify, approve, supply, install and operate every part of the development or renovation process. The document also can be expanded to include budgetary responsibility for specific tasks. Once the diff-doc is created and agreed to by all consultants and contractors, you must put it to use. In order for the document to be effective, the responsibilities for each discipline must be reviewed and updated at each progress meeting. The diff-doc will give you the ability to know who is responsible for each assignment and make it much easier and quicker to review the project's progress. So, basically, it keeps track of who is doing what - and is most commonly used for design/construction of hotels.. Hope this helps...

in case of partial differentiation , suppose a z is a function of x and y so in partial differentiation of z w.r.t x all other variables except x are considered to be constant but on the contrary in differentiation process they are not considered as constant unless stated .
