Petey is the main character we are with him from begining to end,sissy helps petey in a nurcing home after he get transported from the insane asylum, Calvin has been peteys life sence he was 11 and were separated when they moved out of the asylum but later Trevor helps find him and they and Owen reunite ,Owen came after joe and Cassie then quickly retired and only visited once after that he moved away , Cassie was peteys first love he came into his life in his twenties she had to leave to be with her husband whoo had come home from war, joe a caring getle hearted man who gave petey and Calvin there first Christmas then retired wrote letters every month then after 6 months they never got one again,And finally trevor trevor came into peteyslife in 1990 in 8th grade trevor didnt have a lot of friends till petey he just saw and old guy getting pulted by snowballs(petey) and ran to help but it ended with a Grandfather Grandson relationship even though they werent related.
