What is the major problem in the book lightnig thief?

the main problem is that zues's master bolt has been stolen and he blames it on posidions sun Percy. Percy has to retrive the master bolt and prove himself to the Gods. The other main problem is that Percy relizes he is a demi-god.

The Resolution: Percy goes to Hades to tell Hades he's innocent, but ends up finding the bolt in his possession, because of a certain traitor, Ares.

Percy Jackson is a new year demi god who is yielded to The Hermes cabin where all demi-gods with unknown parentage are placed. then clarisse a daughter of ares tries to dunk percys head into a toiley but, the water responds to Percy so,clarisse is doused by water instead . During a camp game of Capture the Flag Clarisse and her siblings attack Percy. He steps into the adjoining river and is healed by the waters while Poseidon's trident appears above his head, revealing him to be the son of Poseidon. Poseidon has broken an oath taken with Hades and Zeus to refrain from having any more children with mortal women as the children can become too powerful and become a threat. Percy is granted a quest to find Zeus's master bolt which Chiron, one of Percy's tutors at the camp, believes Hades has stolen it. Zeus however, believes Poseidon had Percy steal the bolt.

Percy has ten days before summer solstice to find the bolt.

Percy Jackson goes on a quest from Camp Half-Blood to find the Lighting Bold that has been stolen from Zeus. Percy is being blamed because he is Poseidon's son and Zeus is his rival so Zeus blames him. As Percy heads to his destination, he has a surprise in a tunnel he is forced to go in. He get a present in his back pack. In the end, Percy finds out it was a trick to just get the gods into a War, and, another item was stolen too. Percy was betrayed by someone who he thought was his third best friend at camp, and that betrayal will end in something worse than anything you could imagine.
