Ra is the Sun God in Maori mythology.
Piwaiwaka or piwakawaka.
Taonga.
Pounamu
Maungawhau.
E noho ra (written as three separate words) means goodbye to someone you are leaving. I.e, you are leaving your nana's house, and she is staying at her house, but you are going somewhere else, then you would say 'e noho ra.' If you were staying and you were saying goodbye to someone who is leaving then you would say, "Haere ra." Other ways of saying goodbye are hei konei ra, or ka kite ano (see you again).
The Maori name for sun is Te Rā.
You would say "Kei a wai koe i te ra e" in Maori to ask "what did you do yesterday?"
I believe god means 'Ra' ==2== Atua is the Maori word for God. Ra is the Sun God.
"Kia pai tou ra" means "Have a good day" in Maori.
To say "What is the day tomorrow?" in Maori, you would say "Ko te ra āpōpō?"
Ko te raapa tenei ra.
Ko wai ra?
Haere Ra(farewell).
Have a nice day in Maori is "whakarongotia tō rangimārie."
It means farewell (said to someone who is leaving).
Goodbye in Maori is pronounced "haere rā" (pronounced ha-reh rah).
day = ra which also means sun :-)
