In the United States, a "ballpark" commonly refers to a playing field, especially one used for Baseball games, that is completely or partially enclosed by a tiered structure for spectator seating. A common term used to refer to the seating structure is "grandstand". Some ballparks also have bleachers which are basically benches and not seats with backs. Sometimes the term "ballpark" is used to refer to the entire structure (e.g."The team is planning to build a new ballpark") or just the playing field (e.g."He hit a home run out of the ballpark").
