Varity is an old English word for truth.
I have been lead to believe that Varity is a different way of spelling Verity, much like Grey is a different way of spelling Gray. Varity and Verity appear to be the same word.

The word Verity means "the state or quality of being true; accordance with fact or reality: to question the verity of a statement." (dictionary.com)
