A hemisphere is half of a sphere, or globe. For example, the earth has two primary hemispheres, the northern hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, which are separated by the equator.

I do not believe that there is such thing as an opposite of the hemisphere, other than the second hemisphere to which the first is attached.
